Sign up for Special Rooms

You must already have an existing reservation to sign up for these rooms.
If you don’t mind being next to parties (or you want to be next to parties), please sign up for the “noisy floor.” We will need a certain number of people to sign up to make the party floor a reality, and every signup helps. Sign up for Quiet Floor Sign up for Noisy Floor

The mad rush for BLFC hotel rooms has become an unfair advantage to people who are fast with computers, and also an unfair disadvantage to anyone who can’t be present at the exact moment of opening. We have a new system this year to address those problems. This system is for all room types, including suites.

Hotel rooms will be broken up into 4 groups. Rooms in groups 1-3 will be awarded by random drawing, and there’s a group reserved for volunteers from last year, and this year’s dealers.

How it Works

• Log into registration and create an account.
• Inside registration, click “sign up for hotel drawing.” Sign ups are accepted for one week.
• You must be 21 years old at the date of check in.
• You must provide a credit or debit card to enter the drawing. You will see a $1 hold on that card, which is never actually charged.
• To participate in all three groups, you must sign up for each group when their signups open. Your signup is not automatically rolled over if you lose a drawing, and you must sign up again.

At the end of that week, names will be drawn. If you win the room booking drawing:
• Log into reservation site (https://hotel.goblfc.org)
• The reservation system will generate a special hotel booking link. Your link is valid until the next signup period begins.
• You can book only one room.
• You can book your room using any credit card you like; it doesn’t have to be the one you used to sign up.
• You can give your link to a friend to book for you. Important: they will see your auto-populated name and address.
• The hotel charges a one-night deposit when you book your room. This deposit is refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours before check-in.

For suites:
• Win a drawing and book a room via the reservation site above. Make sure to book a room you can be satisfied with, in case no upgrades are available.
• Call 1-800-648-5080 with your confirmation number to upgrade your reservation.

For special areas (hospitality floor, quiet floor):
• After winning one of the drawings, book a room of your liking.
• Use our signup process for the hospitality/quiet floor, providing your hotel confirmation number. This signup process will become available closer to the date of the convention.

Rooms also require a daily $30 resort fee which pays for wireless internet, an airport shuttle (runs every half hour), parking, and a refrigerator and bottled water in your room (refreshed daily). The resort fee (plus tax) is charged separately when you check in. There is also a $1 per day housekeeping tip charged to your room, which you can opt out of at check-in. If you want to leave a bigger tip, you may still leave cash tips in your room.

Debit Card Users

The hotel holds an extra $50/night from your card when you check in. If you check in using a debit card, this will reduce your available balance. It may take up to 10 days after checkout to be returned to your account; your bank controls that, not the hotel. Tip: if you’re eating in on-site restaurants, charge to your room to utilize this tied-up money.

The Summit at Grand Sierra

Remodeled in 2013. Rooms on higher floors.
• 3 days: $159 per night, plus taxes and fees ($216/night after tax+fees)
• 4 days: $147 per night, plus taxes and fees ($203/night after tax+fees)
• 5 days: $140 per night, plus taxes and fees ($195/night after tax+fees)

The “A” Hotel

Remodeled in 2017.
• 3 days: $189 per night, plus taxes and fees ($250/night after tax+fees)
• 4 days: $177 per night, plus taxes and fees ($237/night after tax+fees)
• 5 days: $170 per night, plus taxes and fees ($229/night after tax+fees)

Prices shown are average per-night cost. Taxes and fees apply: Add $30/night resort fee, $2/night tourism fee, and 13% tax. Automated emails may mention a charge for 3rd and 4th roommates, but those are waived if you book in our block.
